Buckley’s Chester captain has again struggled to gather a full team for many matches, as you can tell from the team’s position in the tables!

Buckley continues to hang on to top spot in Division 2, despite drawing with Holywell A away (and, just this week, at home also).

With just over half the season gone, it still looks as if any of the current top four could win the league though!

Sadly, Buckley’s Chester captain has continued to struggle to assemble anything like a full team for most matches, and this is reflected by the team’s results and lowly position in the table.

Buckley has continued to make good progress, with 6 wins, 1 draw and no losses keeping them at the top of Division 2. Let’s see if they can avoid last year’s post-Xmas injuries, which saw them slump from top spot to number 3 – thus just missing out on promotion.

Like last year, our own team has made a good start to the season, with 2 wins and a draw placing them at the top of Division 2.

We were supposed to play CCO in the Chester League next Monday (October 5th) at 7pm, but the Leisure Centre told us yesterday that a School Open Day means the courts will not be ready in time.

However, contrary to what they first said, the courts will in fact be ready in time for Club Night at 8pm – so please come along for more practice!

What’s a CMS? It is designed to simplify the publication of Web content to Websites, allowing content creators to submit content without requiring technical knowledge of HTML or the uploading of files. In simple terms, it means that I do not have to make all the changes to the site’s content myself, as I have done for the past umpteen years.

I have used my technical knowledge to create the design and structure of the new site, but I can now delegate the day-to-day content editing to others who don’t need to be website experts.

Rob Pullen has volunteered to become the Editor-in-Chief, but he would be glad of help from anyone else who fancies creating, submitting or even entering content. I will give training where required, though it is actually very simple – even Trevor could do it!

We haven’t moved all the data across from the old site yet, so you will find some pages empty for a while, but we will be filling them – and creating many more – in the coming weeks. Please call back often, and let us have your ideas for what you’d like to see on the site. One other feature of the new site is that you can leave comments for any of the “posts” (this is a post).

If it’s competitive games you’re seeking, we have teams of various skill levels in a number of local badminton leagues: Flintshire and Wrexham in the North East Wales Leagues; Chester in the Cheshire League. Our members also regularly participate in local, regional and national badminton competitions.
