Buckley only just managed to hang on to top spot in Division 2, despite an incredibly strong challenge from Holywell A in the second half of the season. The two teams ended up level on Points, and level on Events for & against. It was only Buckley’s better difference of Games won & lost which made them Champions!

Cup and League Winners

Buckley’s Flintshire team members turned out in force to this year’s Awards Night – for obvious reasons!

The team was presented with a huge cup for winning the North East Wales Regional Badminton Association Challenge Cup, as well as a huge shield for finishing top of Flintshire League Division 2. Well done team!

Buckley’s Chester captain has again struggled to gather a full team for many matches, as you can tell from the team’s position in the tables!

Buckley continues to hang on to top spot in Division 2, despite drawing with Holywell A away (and, just this week, at home also).

With just over half the season gone, it still looks as if any of the current top four could win the league though!

Sadly, Buckley’s Chester captain has continued to struggle to assemble anything like a full team for most matches, and this is reflected by the team’s results and lowly position in the table.

So, if you’re a decent player and want to help out, please get in touch!

Buckley has continued to make good progress, with 6 wins, 1 draw and no losses keeping them at the top of Division 2. Let’s see if they can avoid last year’s post-Xmas injuries, which saw them slump from top spot to number 3 – thus just missing out on promotion.

Like last year, our own team has made a good start to the season, with 2 wins and a draw placing them at the top of Division 2.

What’s a CMS? It is designed to simplify the publication of Web content to Websites, allowing content creators to submit content without requiring technical knowledge of HTML or the uploading of files. In simple terms, it means that I do not have to make all the changes to the site’s content myself, as I have done for the past umpteen years.

I have used my technical knowledge to create the design and structure of the new site, but I can now delegate the day-to-day content editing to others who don’t need to be website experts.

Rob Pullen has volunteered to become the Editor-in-Chief, but he would be glad of help from anyone else who fancies creating, submitting or even entering content. I will give training where required, though it is actually very simple – even Trevor could do it!

We haven’t moved all the data across from the old site yet, so you will find some pages empty for a while, but we will be filling them – and creating many more – in the coming weeks. Please call back often, and let us have your ideas for what you’d like to see on the site. One other feature of the new site is that you can leave comments for any of the “posts” (this is a post).
